about

It's time for Johnny's right-of-passage, the breaking of a wild horse. The two bodies dance in the ring. Feet stamp a dust cloud around his head. Eyes blind, blinking, watering, tears streaming at the overload of life. A crowd of wide creation watches him. Great pair of eyes, the sun and moon sit high and watch. He's infinitys cowboy. Gods and demons travel far to witness him, blessed gazes and cursing glare. The dead rise in formless dust. The unborn are brought forth to watch him wrestle fate and dance with the possibilities that funnel through the ring of dirt. All corners of the earth tune in to the infinite conclusions of their dance. Forms seen just once. For the first time and never again- flashing for an instant in the dust.

lyrics

Riding out into the dustbound ring so infinite-
on the back of a living horse- feel the warm flesh between my thighs-
taut stirrup making a full circuit through belly and legs-
feel the crowd of all creation watching me open eyed- they sit riveted!

Throw me in rodeo- I'll bring my Peace Hands in!
Show me the ropes- I'll put my Peace Hands up!

Through the ring all possibilities funnel into- and bloom within-
fate will dance a fatal dance with crackling bones and self-chewing teeth of chance-
flashing form preserved in a dashed hoofprint in the Earth-
Peace Hands up!
Submit to the will and the chance of the mammal form.

Throw me in rodeo- I'll bring my Peace Hands in!
Right out on out of my heart- I'll put my Peace Hands up!

Horse spins beneath me and it bucks so wild-
I lift off my hands and raise them trusting to the sky-
head rolled back, I drink the movement in the air-
God's hand on my waist- I will not ever fall away.
